Our company successfully executed the structural steel fabrication and complete erection works for the Toll Plaza Canopy at the Ganga Expressway Project. The scope involved the complete process from steel fabrication and preparation to transportation, site installation, structural erection, roofing/canopy installation and final finishing works.
The Toll Plaza canopy was designed and fabricated as a large-span steel structure incorporating heavy structural steel members, curved support columns, roof trusses, bracing systems and a lightweight architectural canopy roof. The structure was fabricated and assembled with emphasis on dimensional accuracy, structural stability, quality workmanship and proper site execution
Detailed fabrication of structural steel members as per approved drawings and project requirements.
Cutting, drilling, welding, grinding and preparation of structural steel components.
Fabrication of main structural columns, roof trusses, secondary steel members, cross bracing and support assemblies.
Fabrication of curved and specially shaped structural members required for the architectural canopy. Preparation and assembly of steel components prior to transportation to site.
Surface preparation and application of protective coating/paint as specified for the project.
Transportation and handling of fabricated structural steel members at site.
Setting out and positioning of structural supports and foundation connection points.
Complete site erection and installation of the steel canopy structure.
Installation and alignment of main columns and structural frames.
Erection of roof trusses and secondary structural members.
Installation of cross bracing and structural connection assemblies.
Installation and fixing of the architectural tensile/metal canopy roofing system.
Proper alignment, leveling, welding/bolting and tightening of structural connections.
Installation of associated steel framing around the toll booths and canopy areas.
Final inspection, rectification, touch-up painting and finishing of the fabricated and erected structure.
Coordination with site management and other contractors to ensure safe and timely completion of the works.
The completed Toll Plaza canopy incorporates a modern architectural steel structure with large-span curved columns and a lightweight roof canopy, providing weather protection and an efficient covered area for toll collection operations. The structural arrangement combines functionality with an architectural appearance suitable for a major expressway infrastructure project
